How to read the code on your screen

Solid red light = fault

The unit has cut its output to protect itself and the code stays on the display. Note the code before you switch anything off.

Flashing red light = warning

The unit keeps running while the buzzer beeps on and off. Deal with the cause soon — a warning left alone can become a fault.

F15 and 15 are the same code

Some models print an F before the number, others show the number alone. Type either form in the search — you land on the same page.

How Voltronic error codes work

Voltronic splits its display codes into two tables, and the prefix tells you which one you are in. A FAULT is a bare number — 01, 02, 51 — shown steady with the fault icon lit; a protection has tripped and the unit has stopped. A WARNING carries a W — W01, W07, W32 — flashes on the display, and usually beeps: once a second, twice every three seconds, or three times a second depending on the condition, while the unit keeps running. The two tables reuse the same numbers for related but different conditions, which is why they are kept apart here: on an Axpert MAX II, 01 is a fan locked while the inverter is OFF and W01 is a fan locked while it is ON. The charge controllers are the exception — the SCC-MPPT line prints F0, F1, F2 and E1 instead. Every code page lists each device family separately, because the same number rarely means the same thing on an Axpert, an InfiniSolar and a Galleon UPS.

What you can clear yourself, and what goes to a service centre

The manuals themselves draw the line, and this database keeps their wording. A large share of warnings are owner-level: switch off some equipment to clear an overload, unblock the airflow or let the ambient temperature drop, check that the battery wiring is seated. The unit keeps running and the warning resets on its own once the condition clears. Faults are different — the commonest instruction in the whole dataset is to restart the unit once and, if the same code returns, hand it to your installer or the repair centre; several send it straight there with no restart at all. Do not keep power-cycling a fault that comes back: it means a protection is finding the same condition every time. Note the code and the model number from the unit's label before you call, and isolate AC, PV and battery before any enclosure is opened.

Common questions about Voltronic error codes

These are the questions owners and installers ask most often when a code appears on the screen.

What does fault 01 mean on a Voltronic unit?
It depends on which device you are standing in front of, which is why the code 01 page lists every family separately. On the Axpert MAX II inverters it is a fan locked while the inverter is off. On the InfiniSolar WP LV 12KW Premium it is a bus over-voltage. On the Galleon II, Galleon III and Galleon X9 UPS it is a bus start failure, and on the Giant Elite 3P/3P it is a firmware incompatibility between modules. The DC Converter 3KW reports it as an abnormal input current. Find your model on the code page and read the row that carries its name.
What is the difference between 01 and W01 on Voltronic equipment?
They are two different entries, and this is the one thing worth knowing before you look anything up. The bare number is the FAULT table: the code sits steady on the display with the fault icon on, and the unit has shut its output down. The W prefix is the WARNING table: the code flashes, an audible pattern goes with it, and the unit is still running. The conditions are related but not identical — 01 is a fan locked while the inverter is off, W01 a fan locked while it is on — and each is documented on its own page here, with its own manual and page number.

My model is not listed — what should I do?
Many models are documented as variants of a sibling unit rather than separately, so check the "also covers" line on the closest family page first: one Axpert MAX II page carries the 8 kW, 11 kW and 12 kW TWIN models, and one Winner Pro page carries 1 kVA through 3 kVA.
